Meet Karisa.
Karisa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Carlsbad, California and a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth services as well as yearly workshops in Scottsdale, AZ. She enjoys a full-time private practice and considers herself a forever student with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. She enjoys finding new ways to expand her knowledge. Her passion is supporting those who’ve experienced trauma and/or addiction with a motivation to heal and shift. Karisa takes a client centered approach and believes each of us can heal from within. Her intention is to provide a safe, nurturing atmosphere to allow for healing.
Omni Healing Movement
Karisa founded Omni Healing Movement to bring professionals together and to assist clients in learning multiple ways to feel safe in their bodies. Omni is the first horse Karisa learned to ride and also participated in desensitization training with. These experiences are invaluable to her and she hopes to bring that education as well as felt sense healing to others.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Karisa combines trauma informed and body focused healing into a deeply transformative experience. Her blend of traditional and modern techniques through a somatic lens offers new hope for natural healing. She enjoys helping others become more connected to themselves and the world around them.
As an equine therapist certified by O.K. Corral, Freedom Way Coaching, and Equilateral (EA-EMDR), Karisa has been able to help clients find greater peace and embodiment. She also enjoys riding and meditating in the barn (ideally on a horse) whenever possible!
